Decay

A ceiling exists to complete a space. To be overlooked. To hold without being seen holding.

These photographs look up at bazaar ceilings coming undone. Glaze cracking. Color bleeding past its edges. Pattern losing the coherence it was designed to maintain.

Decay makes the surface visible. What was supposed to disappear becomes the subject.
